Wavelength Presents:
Kensington Market Musical History Walking Tour

Presented with Sonic Boom
In partnership with TO Live
Co-hosted by Kensington Market Community Land Trust
Led by Wavelength co-founder/director and Any Night of the Week author Jonny Dovercourt with special guests Orville (Kojo) Smith and others, this 90+ minute walking tour will guide visitors through the city’s unique and vibrant Kensington Market neighbourhood. For the last century, the Market has been a welcoming space for immigrants across diverse cultures and has also played a key role in Toronto’s musical history. More recently, it has been at the forefront of affordable housing and community ownership movements such as the Kensington Market Community Land Trust, who will co-host this tour.
This tour will meet outside Wavelength’s old haunt Sneaky Dee’s at College/Bathurst at 11:30am, and ends by 1:30pm at Trinity Common, where attendees can hang before the Melissa Auf der Maur memoir launch at the AGO!
