Janette King is a Caribbean-Canadian alternative RnB artist whose debut LP What We Lost landed her acclaim in, among others, Complex, Consequence of Sound, and Hypebeast as well as international touring and festival opportunities which have included Montreal Jazz Fest, Ottawa Blues Fest, Noise Pop and support slots for Cupcakke, Sudan Archives, and Jamila Woods. Coming early next year will be King’s long-awaited sophomore LP.

Wavelength chatted with Janette about her creative process, “I made it” moment, and what advice she would give to upcoming artists.
