2016 Wavelength Music Festival
February 12–14, 2016
Wavelength Music warmed up winter with the 16th annual Wavelength Music Festival, which ran from February 12 to 14, 2016 in downtown Toronto. A live curated mixtape of the best NEW independent music coming out of Canada, #WL16 took over The Garrison for three nights, with the venue tranformed into a magical cloudland by artists Roxanne Ignatius and Aaron Dawson. “Take me to the main cloud,” said Duchess Says frontwoman Annie-Claude during their wonderfully destructive Saturday-night headlining set. Sackville, NB’s Partner played two sets during the fest, including an acoustic set during a Saturday afternoon all-ages show at the Markham House: City Building Lab. Other highlights included Clairmont the Second, Keita Juma, Pantayo, Beliefs, Montreal’s She-Devils and Foxtrott.
