Arboretum want to let you in on a secret – Ottawa isn’t the sleepy government town they say it is. It’s actually “Hottawa.” Launched in 2012 and going into its third year, Arboretum Festival is dedicated to spreading the word about the burgeoning Ottawa scene — not just in music, but also food, drink, and visual and media arts. Originally a one-day event, Arboretum has grown into a multi-day, multi-venue festival that offers an “intimate alternative to Ottawa’s traditional festival culture.” Headliners this year include the Constantines, Kevin Drew and Chad vanGaalen, and Wavelength is thrilled to co-present our showcase with our friends at Pop Montreal and Weird Canada at the House of Targ, a venue that offers the unbeatable combo of… pinball and pierogies.
