Born in Toronto, raised in Brampton, Ontario, Truss found his sound at an early age. At 4 years old, he began singing; at 13, he taught himself piano. By the time he was 16, Truss was writing his own music. Only one year later, Truss would find his true love in music production, producing and writing his own solo projects. As a vocalist, Truss is well-known for providing the soulful, sultry lyrics and harmonies atop his own melodic and solid production that eventually snowballed into joining creative forces with Phoenix Pagliacci to form their band TRP.P. Truss has been both in front of and behind the scenes, working with artists such as Nicole Chambers, Borelson, Julian Stephen, and opening for artists such as Kehlani, Mumu Fresh and Charlotte Cardin. His inspirations include Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, J. Dilla, Kanye West, 9th Wonder and D’Angelo.
