
SlowPitchSound
SlowPitchSound is an experimental artist know for his unique style of live compositions and performances. He was the 2018 TD SoundMakers Composer in Residence and the Co-winner of the 2018 CMC Toronto Emerging Composer Award. SlowPitch has been developing his own style of music composition for over 20 years. Environmental awareness and dystopian sci-fi are major themes in SlowPithSound’s brilliant works. He is a master turntablist, educator and visionary artist. His work has been featured at Classical and contemporary music events, world-renowned electronic festivals including Mutek (Montreal), Clandestino (Sweden), Le Guess Who? (Utrecht) as well as theatres, museums, and other unique spaces. SlowPitchSound’s passion for presenting fresh ideas has allowed him to perform works around the world supporting established artists including Kid Koala, Steve Reich, Tim Hecker, Tinariwen, A Guy Called Gerald and Shabazz Palaces to name some.
