Anthems of the Void

Anthems of the Void is interstellar rock from the inventive minds of producers and core members Bradford Reed, a longtime heavyweight in New York’s avant garde rock scene and Canadian experimental singer and visionary lyricist Caylie Staples. Reed’s self-invented instrument, The Pencilina, creates a sonic melding of strings, percussive riffs and ambient textures that he combines with rock drumming and modular synths in a “one-man-band within a band” to sculpt the aural backdrop for interplay with Staples’ siren-like vocals and ultra-creative lyricism. Ambient master Geoff Gersh on guitar adds heavy riffs and sweeping soundscapes. The result is multi-dimensional rock drenched in electronica that reads like a groove etched dispatch from a lush and futuristic landscape.
