ARTU is a music project led by sound engineer and artist, Arthur Bastos rooted in songcraft, rhythm, and texture, blending Brazilian musical influences with contemporary and experimental sounds. Using guitar, voice, and electronics, ARTU creates intimate compositions shaped by melody, space, and emotional resonance.
The music draws on memory and movement, favoring analog warmth, live interaction, and an openness to imperfection. Spontaneity and collaboration are central, allowing each piece to remain fluid and alive. Live performances unfold in a stripped-down, immersive format, responsive to the room and the moment.
