Wavelength is thrilled to welcome back Lael Neale, the captivating Los Angeles-based artist whose music blends cosmic folk, drum-machine minimalism, and poetic introspection. A standout performer at our Luminato in the Square show in 2024, Neale returns to Toronto with her signature sound—imagine the Velvet Underground with a Casio and a four-track in the Mojave Desert. Her latest releases on Sub Pop channel raw vulnerability and vintage textures into a hypnotic, emotionally resonant experience.
This special lineup brings together artists from three of North America’s most vital indie labels — Sub Pop, Idée Fixe, and Thrill Jockey — for a transcendent night of tones and drones. Toronto’s own Isla Craig (Idée Fixe) offers spiritual soul and indie-folk vocals rooted in deep community and collaboration, while Entrance (Thrill Jockey), the long-running project of Neale’s musical/life partner Guy Blakeslee, delivers Sixties-soaked psych-pop that’s equal parts mysticism and grit.
A cross-border communion of the L.A. and Toronto indie music scenes, this lineup is tailor-made for deep listeners and lovers of retro-futurist vibes.
