Vas was one of the founders of the Dub Connection Sound System in the early 2010s. After years of carrying their heavyweight sound & massive vinyl collection around the city to the venues and vacant lots that would accept them, and following the untimely, heartbreaking passing of fellow founder and Big Boss Man KZAR, the sound system set roots in a basement at College & Lansdowne, became known as Higher Heights HiFi with Vas & Gene Reuben now running things, and BSMT254 grew around it. Higher Heights HiFi play strictly the most crucial vinyl selections of classic reggae, dub and adjacent sounds for those with keen ears.
