Loscil

Loscil is the electronic/ambient music project of Scott Morgan, from Vancouver, BC. The name Loscil is taken from the “looping oscillator” function (loscil) in Csound. 

Loscil’s music fits in well into a history of electronic experimenters such as Raymond Scott, Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Zoviet France and Aphex Twin. The music of Loscil is fundamentally ambient. Drones pervade the space, tiny rhythms creep in and out and hidden melodies haunt the depths of a dark but rich abyss.
